FAQ

Who owns the land?

We buy up larger plots of land from land owners in need of liquidity and then split up the land in to smaller plots. We own all the land we sell.

How long does it take for me to receive the title?

Following your purchase, Land Assets will issue you a stamped transfer of ownership certificate (Transfer of Title Certificate) via email within three working days, and a physical copy within two weeks. We will also file the application to register the transfer of ownership with the relevant land registry for you. Due to the current backlog at land registries, please note that the title registration process can take around two months or longer to complete.

Please also note that we will consider the name you provide at checkout the legal name of the person that the land should be transferred to.

Will you buy my land?

Yes, we will consider offers to sell to us; please go to this page to contact us if you want to sell your land.

However, please note that we do not usually repurchase plots that we have sold.

How do you handle payment?

We accept all major credit cards, which we handle via PayPal. Our website is accredited with an SSL certificate and all transmitted payment data is encrypted, following PCI SSC protocol.

We encourage all prospective buyers to do their research before completing the purchase. Because we aim to register all transfer of ownerships quickly we cannot promise that we will be able to process a return or refund once your payment is processed and accepted.

Do I have to pay tax?

This will depend on the region and country the land is located in. Those who own land in Scotland for example are not required to pay sales tax on land under £150,000 and there is also no annual property tax. We will always specify the tax details on the land listing.
